The purpose of this study is to investigate how learner individual differences affect how Spanish learners make compliments, apologies, requests, and suggestions during a six-week intensive study abroad program in Mexico.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to investigate how learner individual differences affect how Spanish learners make compliments, apologies, requests, and suggestions during a six-week intensive study abroad program in Mexico. This means the study will look at how different learners use these communication skills while they are learning Spanish in Mexico.

Participants will be involved in various activities to see how they express compliments, apologies, requests, and suggestions. These activities will help researchers understand how individual differences among learners influence their communication in Spanish.

  • Who can participate: Participants should be adults aged 18 and older, with a basic proficiency in Spanish and a willingness to travel to Mexico for the study duration.
