The purpose of this study is to investigate the Uyghur influence in the second language acquisition of Mandarin tones, planning to look at the accuracy and error patterns of Uyghur participants' performances.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

This study investigates the influence of the Uyghur language on learning Mandarin tones as a second language. It will explore how Uyghur speakers perform in terms of accuracy and the types of errors they make when speaking Mandarin tones.
Participants will be asked to perform tasks that assess their ability to produce and recognize Mandarin tones. The study will analyze the results to determine patterns in accuracy and errors among Uyghur speakers.
- Who can participate: Participants should be native Uyghur speakers aged 18-40 who are learning Mandarin as a second language. Additional eligibility criteria may include prior exposure to Mandarin and no hearing impairments.
- Study details: Participants will engage in tasks designed to evaluate their Mandarin tone production and recognition. Their performance will be analyzed to identify accuracy and error patterns.
