This study investigates the factors that may influence a parent's decision to choose comfort care or resuscitation for their extremely premature newborn in the delivery room. It aims to explore whether certain clinical or sociodemographic characteristics of the newborn or the mother, aspects of antenatal counseling, or the characteristics of the healthcare center affect these decisions.
Participants in this study may be asked questions about their experiences and decisions regarding the care of their premature newborn. The study will collect data to understand the various influences on parental choices, but no medical treatments or interventions will be administered as part of the study.
- Who can participate: Parents of extremely premature newborns, defined as infants born before 28 weeks of gestation.
