This study investigates the relationship between nicotine-seeking behavior and the desire for social interaction in smokers, particularly after they experience social exclusion. Social exclusion refers to being left out or ignored by others, which can affect a person's feelings and behaviors.
Participants in this study will be observed to see how their desire to smoke and interact socially changes after experiencing social exclusion. This will help researchers understand if there is a connection between wanting to smoke and wanting to be with others after feeling left out.
- Who can participate: The study is open to adult smokers who experience social exclusion.
- Study details: Participants will be observed for changes in their smoking behavior and social interaction desires after social exclusion. This involves monitoring their reactions and interactions. A placebo, an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine, may be used if applicable.
