Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to describe the use of intraoperative angiogram through popliteal artery access in three patients with spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in the prone position.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: arteriovenous malformation
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the use of an intraoperative angiogram through the popliteal artery access in patients with spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVM). An arteriovenous malformation is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins, bypassing the capillary system. This study focuses on patients positioned face down, known as the prone position, during the procedure.

Participants will undergo a procedure where an angiogram, an imaging test that uses X-rays to view the body's blood vessels, is performed. The access for this test is through the popliteal artery, which is located behind the knee.

  • Who can participate: This study includes patients with spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Age criteria and additional eligibility factors are not specified.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo an angiogram procedure using the popliteal artery to access the spinal area while in a prone position.
