Validation of Genomic Classifiers in Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer Patients treated with Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy and Radical Cystectomy
Investigating Genomic Biomarkers in Tumor Tissues for Chemotherapy Response
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to identify if patients who will respong to neoadjuvant chemotherapy can be prospectively identified based on the analysis of tumor tissues obtained at TURBT using individual genomic biomarkers or biomarker signatures.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to identify if patients who will respong to neoadjuvant chemotherapy can be prospectively identified based on the analysis of tumor tissues obtained at TURBT using individual genomic biomarkers or biomarker signatures.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: bladder cancer
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
The purpose of this study is to identify if patients who will respond to neoadjuvant chemotherapy can be prospectively identified based on the analysis of tumor tissues obtained at TURBT using individual genomic biomarkers or biomarker signatures. TURBT stands for transurethral resection of bladder tumor, which is a procedure used to diagnose and treat bladder cancer.
Participants in this study will undergo analysis of their tumor tissues to identify genomic biomarkers. These biomarkers are specific genes or gene patterns that might predict how well a patient responds to chemotherapy.
- Who can participate: Participants must be within a specific age range and meet certain eligibility criteria, which include having a diagnosis of bladder cancer and being scheduled for neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
- Study details: Participants will have their tumor tissues analyzed for genomic biomarkers. These biomarkers are specific genes or gene patterns that might predict chemotherapy response.
