The purpose of this study is to determine if and when palliative care is consulted to support stroke patients.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: stroke
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the timing of palliative care consultations for patients who have experienced a stroke. A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted, leading to potential brain damage and a variety of health issues. Palliative care focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness.

Participants in this study may undergo assessments to determine when and how palliative care is introduced during their treatment. These procedures aim to improve understanding of the role and timing of palliative care in the recovery process.
