Decision Making in Groups
Investigating Trust in Robots
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to test the following hypothesis: Participants will distrust the robot when it breaks their trust measured by the number of points they give to/back to the robot.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to test the following hypothesis: Participants will distrust the robot when it breaks their trust measured by the number of points they give to/back to the robot.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: healthy
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates how people trust robots and what happens when that trust is broken. The focus is on understanding the relationship between trust and the actions participants take, specifically how many points they choose to give to the robot or take back from it.
Participants will engage in activities where they interact with a robot, and their trust levels will be measured by the points exchanged. This helps researchers understand the dynamics of trust in human-robot interactions.
- Who can participate: Eligibility criteria include age between 18 and 65 years. Participants should have no prior experience with robotic systems.
- Study details: Participants will engage in activities with a robot, focusing on the actions they take in relation to trust dynamics.
