This study investigates how occupational therapy driving evaluations are conducted for individuals of driving age who have been diagnosed with autism. Autism is a developmental disorder that affects communication and behavior, and can impact a person's ability to drive safely. Understanding these evaluations can help identify specific needs and adaptations required for safe driving.
Participants in this study will have their past driving evaluations reviewed. These evaluations are conducted by occupational therapists who assess the driving capabilities of individuals with autism, looking at factors such as reaction time, decision-making, and ability to follow road rules.
- Who can participate: Individuals of driving age who have been diagnosed with autism are eligible for this study.
- Study details: Participants will not need to take any action as this is a retrospective study, meaning it looks back at existing data from past evaluations.
