Genomics of Pulmonary Vascular Disease
Investigation of Genetic Changes in Pulmonary Hypertension
Brief description of study.
We have identified that some patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) may have a higher level of genetic changes in their blood cells than controls. The goal of this study is to understand why this happens, and if it is a consistent finding across different types of PH. We are also looking at normal genetic variation to see if certain common and rare variants associate with risk of PH.

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: pulmonary hypertension
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the presence of genetic changes in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). Pulmonary hypertension is a condition where the blood pressure in the lungs' arteries is higher than normal. The purpose is to see if these genetic changes are consistent across different types of PH and how they relate to the risk of developing the condition.
Participants will undergo genetic testing to identify any common or rare genetic variants. By analyzing these variants, researchers aim to understand their association with PH risk. This involves comparing the genetic information of patients with PH to that of individuals without the condition.
- Who can participate: The study seeks individuals aged 18 and older diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Participants should be willing to provide blood samples for genetic testing.
- Study details: Participants will undergo genetic analysis to identify genetic variants linked to pulmonary hypertension.
