This study investigates how well doctors understand the guidelines for managing pain in sickle cell crises in the emergency room. Sickle cell crises are painful episodes that occur when blood flow is blocked due to misshapen red blood cells, causing severe pain.
The study involves assessing the current level of awareness among physicians regarding existing pain management protocols. This means doctors will be asked about their knowledge and understanding of how to treat pain in these situations.
- Who can participate: Participation is open to physicians working in the emergency room at the study institution. There are no age restrictions.
- Study details: Participants will be asked to complete a survey to assess their knowledge of pain management protocols for sickle cell crises.
