Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: tobacco use disorder
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effect of offering financial incentives to help people stop smoking. It focuses on individuals who are also dealing with opioid addiction. The study uses a method called contingency management, which involves giving rewards to participants when they meet certain goals, like not smoking.

Participants in this study will be involved in procedures that include regular check-ins to monitor their smoking status. They may receive financial rewards based on their progress in quitting smoking. This study aims to see if these incentives can support smoking cessation in people with opioid addiction.

  • Who can participate: This study is looking for individuals who are currently dealing with both smoking and opioid addiction. Specific age and other eligibility criteria are not provided.
  • Study details: Participants will receive financial incentives as part of the contingency management intervention. This involves receiving rewards for meeting smoking cessation goals. No placebo is used in this study.
